Always wash hands before preparing feeds. Clean and then sterilise all utensils with an approved steriliser or by boiling in a large pot with a lid, on the stove for 5 minutes.

Boil safe drinking water and allow to cool for 30 minutes. Consult feeding guide. Measure the required volume of cooled boiled water into a sterilised feeding bottle.

&nbsp;Using only the enclosed scoop, fill scoop and level off using the built-in leveller. Avoid compacting powder.

Add the exact amount of powder to the water in the bottle. Always add 1 level scoop of powder for each 50ml of water. Cap the bottle and mix thoroughly by shaking gently or swirling the bottle to dissolve the powder.

Check the prepared feed is at the right temperature by testing on your wrist. Feed your baby immediately. Discard any unfinished feed within 1 hour (do not store).
 
It is safer to prepare each bottle as needed and use immediately after it is prepared. If a bottle of made-up formula is to be prepared in advance, store in the refrigerator and use within 24 hours. Discard any refrigerated formula not used within 24 hours.

This feeding guide is a general guide only. Every baby is different; your baby may need more or less infant formula. Newborn babies may not drink the full amount in the first weeks. Babies over 6 months should be offered solid food in addition to infant formula.

Feeding Guide

After opening, remove foil seal. Do not use if foil seal is damaged or missing. Store can in a cool dry place. Keep airtight and use within 4 weeks. Mark date of opening on can.

Where is a2 Genesis™ Premium infant formula made?

a2 Genesis™ Premium infant formula (Stage 1) is formulated for infants 0-6 months and is a complete source of nutrition for an infant. It is labelled for use from 0-6 months of age, but is safe to continue to use beyond 6 months.

What age is a2 Genesis™ Premium infant formula (Stage 1) suitable for?

It is completely safe for your baby to continue a2 Genesis™ Premium infant formula (Stage 1) beyond 6 months, as your baby is starting on solids. Introducing solid foods provides your child with additional nutrients which will help meet your baby’s nutritional requirements. If you find your child is already settled on a2 Genesis™ Stage 1, remaining on this may be more beneficial as there are many changes occurring with the introduction of solids, and this can be one aspect that remains the same, smoothing the transition for your baby.&nbsp;
If you find your baby is showing little interest in solid foods, it may be more beneficial to introduce a2 Genesis™ Premium follow-on formula (Stage 2), due to it containing a higher level of iron.

Can my infant continue a2 Genesis™ Premium infant formula (Stage 1) after 6 months?

All babies are different and will have unique and individual feeding routines. Based on the feeding guide on pack, for a fully formula fed baby, a can of a2 Genesis™ Premium infant formula (Stage 1) could last an infant approximately anywhere from around 5 – 7 days, depending on age and individual feeding routine.
