We take great care to ensure our a2 Platinum® products are of the highest quality. The milk powder base for all our a2 Platinum® products is our a2 Milk™.
At The a2 Milk Company, we go to great lengths to ensure that our a2 Milk™ is from cows that naturally produce milk with only the A2 protein type.
Our farmers only hand select cows that naturally produce the A2 protein type by using a simple and non-invasive genetic test that analyses a hair or tissue sample from each cow. These cows are then milked separately.
Testing is an integral part of the product development process. At multiple stages along the product journey each individual ingredient and packaging component are appropriately tested, as well as the final product.
This ensures all our a2 Platinum® products meet the highest quality and safety standards.
The a2 Milk Company employs an independent third party to verify our products. Oritain is a food-traceability expert and tests samples of a2 Platinum® products it obtains straight from retail shelves to confirm that these products are True a2™. This testing is scientific, ongoing and completely independent.
Each and every can of a2 Platinum® product has a unique QR code. Simply scan this code and you’ll be able to learn more about the product a2 Platinum®.
Breastfeeding is best for babies and provides the optimal balance of nutrition and protection during growth and development, while the use of any kind of formula milk may put infants and children at risk of diarrhoea, chest infections and other illnesses and their mothers at a higher risk of breast cancer. In light of this, babies should be exclusively breastfed for the first 6 months of life and with the introduction of nutritionally adequate and safe complementary foods from 6 months, continue breastfeeding for up to 2 years of age or beyond.
Good maternal nutrition is important in preparation for and during breastfeeding. If you are considering bottle feeding, always seek professional advice, as introducing bottle feeding, either partially or exclusively, may adversely affect breastfeeding by reducing the amount of your own breast milk supply and may be difficult to reverse should you change your mind as your baby may refuse to be fed by breastfeeding. Consider also the financial and health implications when deciding on a feeding method for your baby.
